reflecting the past

I used to thrift to find things that fit my style. On occasion, I fit my style to things I find thrifting. Yesterday was such a moment:

I have a small variety of light covers and reflectors, but I don’t recall having seen any so large or so specifically not holiday themed as these.

I mean, maybe they’re poinsettias… but glittery baby blue poinsettias? I had the teal peacock tree I mean, but baby blue? Luckily, I understand about illumination and reflection and have a decent relationship with color theory. So they came home with me.

And they are rather glorious. Certainly, no modern vibe here, but since I’m a hodge-podge maximalist, they are absolutely a check in the win column!

Today was a test on the thrift rule “You will never see it again” and I am happy to say that I passed.

“I shouldn’t overlook thrift store bags of plastic! I shouldn’t overlook thrift store bags of plastic! I shouldn’t overlook thrift store bags of plastic! I shouldn’t overlook thrift store bags of plastic!”
